     We are a fairly new breeder of show-quality Labrador Retrievers located in the softly rolling mountains just south of Asheville, North Carolina.  In 2002 we acquired our first Lab, Belle, and immediately fell in love with the breed because of her willingness to do whatever pleased us and her sense of fun and adventure.  She gave us two litters of nice pups, who went to loving homes in the Southeast.

     About the time of Belle’s second litter, I decided I wanted to breed for a more correct Labrador. I wanted Labradors that could do it all – compete in the show ring for conformation, work in the field as devoted hunting companions and lie next to me on the sofa after a long day of work and play. I knew what I wanted as I had been studying the breed nonstop for three years so in June of 2005 we traveled to Augusta, Georgia to Mar-Moye Labradors and acquired our yellow foundation girl, Genesis at Forge Mountain, AKA Gennie. Gennie has opened a whole new world for us in the conformation show ring, taking Reserve Winner’s Bitch at her very first all-breed show at six months of age. She has continued to shine by taking at least ten firsts in her classes, some of them at Lab Specialties. When Gennie was less than a year, we acquired our chocolate foundation girl, Mar-Moye Searching at Forge Mtn, AKA Google – yes, another Mar-Moye breeding by our mentors, Marion and Moye Daniels. We added to this strong foundation with the arrival of our chocolate boy, Mar-Moye Surprise Pass Forge, AKA Worthy, and Mar-Moye Peaches Schnapps, our second yellow girl.
